Willy" is an eye catching 14.1hh AQHA gelding with roaning! He's got a beautiful head, he's built balanced, carries himself level, and he's smooth and easy to ride! He handles like a horse twice his age!
He ties quiet, cross ties, he's a gentleman to groom, saddle, and is great for the farrier. We just saddle up and go whether we are at home, in town, or out on the ranch.
He has excellent transitions, he collects or rides on a loose rein, he knows his leads, he turns around, has balanced stops, he neck reins and rides off seat and leg cues. He's been hauled to shows to settle cattle, turn back, and compete. He was shown at a Ranch Versatility Horse Show in the Open Boxing and marked a 74! He does trail obstacles, opens and closes gates, and is very handy.
He just recently qualified for the AQHA VRH Open Junior Ranch Cutting World Show and the 2025 AQHA World Show in Junior Cutting.
We purchased him from the original breeder so he has not been traded around. Clay has used him as his personal horse for the last year and has taught Cutting Clinics and lessons with him. He is calm and patient, but then athletic when you need it. He's suitable for any level rider. He's honest and trustworthy everyday. He was raised on a Colorado Ranch and has had outside riding, he checked and gathered cattle. He's also rope broke, knows how to drag a log, and has tracked a roping sled. Use him on the ranch, or finish him to compete! He has had cutting training and will work a cow! He's smart and reads a cow well, he will go any speed you ask. He is used to being hauled to events, every time our trailer leaves the place, he's with us.
He's got a big heart, he's full of personality, and loves to work. We enjoy this gelding, he's the kind we look forward to riding to do anything! He's up to date on farrier, dental, and all health care. He is sound, no blemishes, never had an injury, has good bone, and is currently barefoot. He is a cribber.
